Alle Jahre wieder!
Die Game Awards haben sich etabliert. Auch wenn einst MTV versuchte, eine Preiskrönung der besten Videospiele zu initieren, schaffte es der Dorito-Papst Geoff Keighley eine feierliche Verleihung von Preisen für die besten Games des Jahres in dem Kalender zu verankern. Nun wird zum Ende des Jahres erneut das Fest zelebriert, das Entwicklern und Erfindern gelungener Software einen Platz vor der Kamera bieten wird. Die Kandidaten der Game Awards 2021 dürfen sich daher wieder einmal auf eine groß angelegte Show freuen, die neben Videospielen auch Stars und Musik bieten wird. Zocker schauen im Internet zu.

Im letzten Jahr wurden neben der Preisverleihung auch Ausblicke in die Zukunft des Gamings gewährt. Hier gab es einige beeindruckende Spiele zu bewundern. Auch in diesem Jahr dürfen Fans der Videospielbranche darauf hoffen, die eine oder andere Überraschung zu erleben, während sich die moderne „Kunstform“ feiert. Doch natürlich stehen in erste Linie die nominierten Spiele im Vordergrund, die von einer Jury zu den besten Games des Jahres gewählt wurden. Wer sich in den unterschiedlichen Kategorien durchsetzen kann, darf hierzulande am 10.12.2021 ab 01:30 Uhr live im Internet über verschiedenste Plattformen in Erfahrung gebracht werden. Sogar über Oculus Rift kann das Event mitverfolgt werden, wo eine 180°-Grad-Sicht den Helmträgern geboten wird.
